This was my second wedding at Planet Word and I walked away even more sold on the place than the first time. Evan and Dan kept the whole day refreshingly simple, and that is my favorite kind of day. They got ready at a hotel right around the corner, strolled over to the little park out front for portraits, and then had their ceremony and reception all within the same block. No shuttles, no traffic, no half the day lost to driving around the city. Just calm and walkable from start to finish.

Planet Word does half my job for me! Those glowing book walls and the light pouring through the arched windows had me grinning the entire time. We also snuck down into the Metro for a few frames, because that coffered ceiling is one of the most photogenic things in all of DC and you would be silly not to use it. Between the museum, the park, and the station, we got this great mix of warm and bookish and a little bit graphic and modern. Evan in the rust suit and Dan in the blue suit just looked so right together. Congrats you two, this one was a joy.
